led to Elon Musk bid: Twitter co-founder&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey served the company on a platter to Elon Musk by \u201cbackstabbing\u201d the company\u2019s board of directors, one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> giant\u2019s co-founders alleged.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Goldman, a former member of the board who was part of Twitter\u2019s founding team more than a decade ago, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RylSppg4Uqo&amp;t=188s\">told Bloomberg News<\/a> that he believes Dorsey encouraged Musk to buy the company outright after Musk had initially been in talks to merely join the board.<\/p>\n<p>Goldman, who was Twitter\u2019s vice president of product, told Bloomberg that the company\u2019s chairman, Bret Taylor, and CEO Parag Agrawal struck a deal with Musk to bring him on as a director in exchange for his agreeing not to buy up more shares.<\/p>\n<p>An SEC filing submitted days later revealed that Musk owned a 9.2% stake in Twitter \u2014 which at the time was equivalent to 73.4 million shares, the most of any shareholder. <\/p>\n<p>Musk had asked Twitter\u2019s board to convene a meeting, during which Dorsey \u201cshared his personal view that Twitter would be able to better focus on execution as a private company,\u201d according to an SEC filing.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; Dorsey indicated he would leave the board this year when he stepped down as CEO last November.<\/p>\n<p>Musk lamented Dorsey\u2019s exit in a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of tweets Thursday, noting that he would welcome him to stay at the company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a fan of Jack btw.
