He\u2019s a third-generation pilot and second-generation aerial coordinator and stunt pilot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy father is a well-known stunt pilot. And growing up in a house where your dad does something cool like that, you\u2019re just hooked,\u201d he told The Post. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I do love telling people there was one thing that almost derailed me. And that\u2019s the first \u2018Top Gun\u2019 movie, believe it or not. I almost changed courses because I wanted to be an F-14 Navy pilot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, LaRosa followed in his father\u2019s footsteps and now, he\u2019s fulfilled his \u201cTop Gun\u201d dreams while working with Tom Cruise on the highly anticipated sequel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can tell you right now, that man can fly an airplane,\u201d LaRosa said of Cruise, who reprises his role as Navy fighter Pete \u201cMaverick\u201d Mitchell, once a young hotshot pilot turned trainer who is gr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ling with his past. \u201cTom is already an incredible aviator,\u201d he said, adding that the 59-year-old actor (who is confirmed shirtless in the movie) is \u201can accomplished pilot\u201d and motivation \u201cto go work out.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The original \u201cTop Gun\u201d became a classic after it was released, celebrated for its lust-worthy cast, amazing aerial stunts and portrayals of everlasting bonds. For this film he does them all zipping through the clouds and pulling up to eight Gs \u2014\u00a0a measure of gravitational force experienced through acceleration \u2014 which is comparable to 600 pounds pressing against your body. \u201cSo just to put it in perspective, it\u2019s a level of power that most people never get to experience,\u201d LaRosa said.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cTop Gun\u201d star owns his own P-51 Mustang (a World War II fighter jet) which LaRosa said the actor flies \u201clike it\u2019s an extension of himself.\u201d Cruise came onto the set with a love for and understanding of aviation, LaRosa said, and really wanted to inspire that passion in his new co-stars, including Miles Teller, Monica Barbaro and Glen Powell. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright\">\n<blockquote><p>\u2018I can tell you right now, that man can fly an airplane. Tom [Cruise] is already an incredible aviator.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><cite>Aerial coordinator and \u201cTop Gun: Maverick\u201d camera pilot LaRosa<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI remember in the beginning of the movie, he gave us an incredible speech,\u201d LaRosa said. \u201cWe felt the pressure. But that pressure, I feel like, was our motivation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The actors in the new film went through extensive and intense training both on the ground and in the air with LaRosa, his father (also named Kevin) and US Navy pilots<strong> <\/strong>to get them comfortable in the cockpit.
