Here\u2019s what it takes to get banned as a viewer.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Happens_If_Youre_Banned\"><\/span>What Happens If You\u2019re Banned?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Getting banned from a Twitch channel will take\u00a0away your privileges to view and participate in chat. You\u2019ll also\u00a0no longer see the channel on your following list.<\/p>\n<p>You won\u2019t be able to send the streamer direct messages, refollow them, host them, or gift sub<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ions to other viewers. When you\u2019re banned,\u00a0you\u2019re essentially a ghost who can only watch the stream but cannot interact in any way.<\/p>\n<p>Streamers can keep you banned for as long as they want.\u00a0You\u2019ll have to\u00a0file a request to be unbanned from the channel.\u00a0Your application will be reviewed by the streamer or moderators, and then\u00a0you\u2019ll be notified whether your request was approved or not.\u00a0The streamer may set a\u00a0cooldown duration\u00a0for your ban, which means you\u2019ll have to wait before you can submit a request.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t do any of the following things to avoid getting banned from your favorite Twitch channels. You cannot name yourself using sexual references, profanity, violence, and racial or ethnic slurs.<\/p>\n<p>Your username also can\u2019t be referenced to recreational drugs, but\u00a0there are exceptions\u00a0for\u00a0legal substances such as alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. You also shouldn\u2019t choose a username that\u2019s too similar to another person\u2019s name. It may be considered an\u00a0impersonation attempt, which could also lead to a ban.<\/p>\n<p>If a twitch streamer sees that you\u2019re using a prohibited username, they can report it to Twitch and get your account banned quickly. To play it safe, choose a simple username.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_Inappropriate_Language\"><\/span>Using Inappropriate Language<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of the most common reasons why viewers get banned from Twitch channels is due to using inappropriate language. This includes slurs, sexual comments, harassment, and racism.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you\u2019re just joking around with others in chat, it\u2019s best to avoid using any language that could be considered offensive. Many streamers don\u2019t tolerate overly offensive language because it makes their channel unwelcoming to other viewers. It\u2019s what many people in the Twitch community call a \u201ctoxic community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t swear. In fact,\u00a0many steamers don\u2019t care if you use curse words. It all comes down to how you\u2019re using the language. This includes posting the same message over and over, typing in all caps, using excessive emojis, or sending too many links.<\/p>\n<p>Many of these activities are considered disruptive to the chat and can be annoying to other viewers and the streamer. Depending on what you\u2019re spamming, it may also be considered a form of harassment, so be careful.<\/p>\n<p>If you feel the need to share your excitement, try to do so in moderation. One or two exclamation points in lowercase letters will suffice. And if you\u2019re posting links, make sure they\u2019re relevant to the channel or the current discussion. Sending\u00a0inappropriate things will\u00a0get seen by the channel\u2019s moderators. This includes making threats against others, showing graphic violence, and promoting physical and non-physical violence.<\/p>\n<p>This includes hacking or\u00a0distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. You also can\u2019t attempt or threaten to SWAT someone, which is calling the police to falsely report an incident at another person\u2019s address. Regarding drugs and sexual content, just use your common sense. If you attempt to promote illegal activities, such as illicit drug use or scams, you\u2019ll get banned.
