stepfather, medical technician Angel Garza, was tending to another victim when he learned the girl he raised as his own was among the dead, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/crime\/texas-school-shooting-medical-professional-rushed-scene-learned-stepdaughter-victim\/\">his mother told People magazine<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was helping children,\u201d Berlinda Arreola said of her son. <\/p>\n<p>She said he was told the tragic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> about his stepdaughter when another student, covered in blood, told him it was Amerie\u2019s blood on her.<\/p>\n<figure one of the largest in US history and the deadliest elementary-school shooting since the slaughter of 26 students and educators at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.\n
