\n Independent presidential candidate Kanye West secretly met with President Trump\u2019s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner last weekend, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

The billionaire rapp<\/a>er had been camping with his family, including superstar wife Kim Kardashian West and their four children, in Colorado when he flew out to Telluride to meet Kushner and his wife, first daughter and senior adviser Ivanka Trump, according to the New York Times.<\/p>\n

The paper reports that Kushner and Ivanka had been travel<\/a>ing in Telluride that weekend. The sneaker mogul was not joined by his wife during the meeting.<\/p>\n

Reached by the Times for comment on his meeting with Kushner, the rap superstar took to Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m willing to do a live interview with the New York Time [sic] about my meeting with Jared,\u201d he wrote on the social media platform, adding that they discussed \u201cPowerNomics,\u201d a book about black empowerment by Dr. Claude Anderson.<\/p>\n

The paper reported that West declined to elaborate on his meeting with the first son-in-law in a follow-up phone interview, but did \u201cexpress anger about abortion rates among Black women\u201d before saying he \u201cdidn\u2019t reflexively support Democrats.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked last Wednesday about West\u2019s 2020 effort, President Trump denied any connection to it, saying during a White House press briefing, \u201cI like him. He\u2019s always been very nice to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if he was aware of or involved in any effort to get West on the ballot, Trump said he didn\u2019t know anything about it, saying simply, \u201cNo, not at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get along with him very well. I like him. I like his wife,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

West launched his late-entry independent presidential bid over July 4 weekend under the \u201cBirthday Party\u201d platform.<\/p>\n

Since then, he has fought an uphill battle for ballot access state by state without any of the traditional campaign infrastructure.<\/p>\n

West has managed to get himself on the ballot in three states so far: Colorado, Oklahoma and Vermont.<\/p>\n

A White House spokesman did not respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment on the alleged meeting.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
