Star formation in spirals is similar to a traffic jam on the interstate,\u201d the agency said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike cars on the highway, slower moving matter in the spiral\u2019s disk creates a bottleneck, concentrating star-forming gas and dust along the inner part of their spiral arms. Filippenko (Univer<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier in the month, the\u00a0Hubble Space Telescope team\u00a0shared a collection of supernova host galaxies and has been sharing images of many more galaxies in recent weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The telescope has been operational since its launch and deployment in 1990.<\/p>\n<p>Hubble has made more than 1.5\u00a0million observations over the course of its lifetime.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It will soon be joined by the\u00a0$10 billion-dollar James Webb Space Telescope\u00a0that launched into orbit in December.\u00a0\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
