That\u2019s when Morfin, 20, got to see his white teeth and sweet dimple for the first time. It was love at first sight. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember saying to myself, \u2018Ooh, my suspicions have been confirmed. He is cute,&#8217;\u201d Morfin, who lives in Perris, Calif., told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>A few months later, De La Cruz was tasked with training Morfin to take over his job so he could shift to working as a delivery driver. Things between us never felt awkward even though we work together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The duo started dating in August, and moved in together this past February.\u00a0Mixing work and pleasure hasn\u2019t been an issue. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople think of us as the cool [dynamic] duo because we\u2019re always helping each other out whenever we can,\u201d said Morfin. \u201cAnd our supervisors really appreciate the fact that we work so well together because we\u2019re both able to get more accomplished during a shift.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An unexpected side effect of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a boom in workplace romance. A February 2022 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shrm.org\/about-shrm\/press-room\/press-releases\/pages\/new-shrm-survey-the-rise-of-workplace-romance.aspx\">study from the Society for Human Resource Management <\/a> found that 33% of US workers are currently involved in or have been involved in a workplace romance, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shrm.org\/about-shrm\/press-room\/press-releases\/pages\/new-survey-on-workplace-romance-2020.aspx\">up from 27%<\/a> in the months prior to the global health crisis. After a flirtatious encounter at an office Christmas party in December 2019, the pair became inseparable, sneaking kisses in the elevator, grabbing lunch together and slipping away for afternoon coffees, all while keeping their affections from co-workers.  Then the lockdown hit in March 2020 and squashed their budding romance. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t get to see each other,\u201d White, 23 and based in Leeds, told The Post. \u201cBut we were able to keep in touch through FaceTime and Zooms.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In October 2020, their offices reopened, and the pair soon opened up about their relationship to colleagues. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe keep our work life and love life as separate as possible, but since we\u2019ve returned to office, we don\u2019t hide the fact that we\u2019re together,\u201d said White.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re like best friends at work, and boyfriend and girlfriend outside of work,\u201d added Little.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
