This is less than we ask of factory workers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there are particularly exceptional contributors for whom this is impossible, I will review and approve those exceptions directly,\u201d Musk added. \u201cMoreover, the \u2018office\u2019 must be a main Tesla office, not a remote branch office unrelated to the job duties.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Screenshots of Musk\u2019s email circulated on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> Tuesday. The company attributed the move to a surge in coronavirus cases \u2014 but it also came after employees threatened to quit over being forced to show up to the office. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>In response to a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> story about Apple pushing back the deadline, Musk mocked the decision with a meme of an obese dog taking a nap.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to running Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and the Boring Company, Musk has agreed to a deal to take over Twitter, which was one of the first large tech companies to let employees work from home permanently.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On corporate forum Blind, Twitter employees have blasted Musk\u2019s attitude toward remote work and questioned whether a takeover would mean a similarly strict policy at the social media company.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost companies at least set a return day a couple months out to let employees prepare,\u201d one Twitter employee griped in response to Musk\u2019s Tesla announcement. \u201cWho just suddenly makes massive changes to an orgs work life with no warning.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Another Twitter employee in April questioned whether Musk would \u201crule\u201d with an \u201ciron fist\u201d at Twitter, predicting that forcing a return to office would cause \u201ceven more attrition.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Musk has already made fun of Twitter employees working remotely, writing in April that the company should turn its San Francisco headquarters into a homeless shelter since so few employees come into the office.\u00a0\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
