\n The Bon App\u00e9tit test kitchen is moving on.<\/p>\n

After the departure of six of its most popular video personalities, the food magazine show will resume production in September, a Cond\u00e9 Nast Entertainment representative told The Post.<\/p>\n

Videos for the Bon App\u00e9tit channel \u2014 which has more than 6 million subscribers and has launched its on-air talent into celebrity status \u2014 have ceased for the past two months amid outrage over its compensation and treatment of employees of color.<\/p>\n

The disparity was brought to light in June when Bon App\u00e9tit editor-in-chief Adam Rapoport\u00a0resigned after a photo surfaced that showed him in brownface. Soon after, assistant food editor Sohla El-Waylly publicly addressed her low salary compared to that of her white colleagues. That was followed by further allegations that Matt Duckor, head of CNE\u2019s lifestyle video programming, didn\u2019t feature people of color in Test Kitchen videos and paid them less, leading to Duckor\u2019s stepping down.<\/p>\n

Test Kitchen contributing writer Priya Krishna, contributing food editor Rick Martinez and El-Waylly \u2014 who make up half of the six people of color featured in the videos \u2014 announced their departures last week, followed by Molly Baz, the senior food editor,\u00a0and Gaby Melian, the Test Kitchen manager, who will remain in that role but will not appear in videos.<\/p>\n

The Cond\u00e9 Nast rep said the upcoming videos will include some familiar faces and new, more diverse ones.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are planning for BA video production to begin in September with some returning talent, in addition to new contributors which we\u2019ll be announcing in the coming weeks,\u201d the company spokesperson said. \u201cWe will be using this time to reset and work with the teams and ensure diversity in front of and behind the camera for BA video.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
