Amanda Peet (above) is joining the thriller based on the 1987 film of the same as the wife of Joshua Jackson\u2019s character. Peet last <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared as Betty Broderick in the most recent season of <em>Dirty John.<\/em> Lizzy Caplan is playing the role of the mistress who becomes obsessed with the couple.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-131661\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Paramount+ revealed more about Peet\u2019s casting in the upcoming series:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cParamount+ today announced Amanda Peet (\u201cDirty John: The Betty Broderick Story\u201d) will join the cast of the service\u2019s upcoming original series FATAL ATTRACTION, from Paramount Television Studios and Amblin Television. Peet joins previously announced cast members Lizzy Caplan (\u201cCastle Rock,\u201d \u201cMasters of Sex\u201d), who stars as Alex Forrest and Joshua Jackson (\u201cDr. Death\u201d), who stars as Dan Gallagher.<\/p>\n<p>Peet will star as Beth Gallagher, a loyal wife, loving mother and successful small business owner whose world unravels when her husband Dan\u2019s (Jackson) indiscretion threatens to destroy their life together.<\/p>\n<p>A deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and \u201980s cultural touchstone, the new series will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.<\/p>\n<p>Amanda Peet starred in\u202fseason two of the anthology series \u201cDirty John: The Betty Broderick Story.\u201d\u202f Before that, she was in\u202f\u201dThe\u202fRomanoffs,\u201d \u201cBrockmire,\u201d and \u201cTogetherness,\u201d created by the Duplass Brothers, as well as \u201cStudio 60 on the Sunset S<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>.\u201d She has appeared in the films \u201cPlease Give,\u201d \u201cSomething\u2019s\u202fGotta\u202fGive,\u201d \u201cThe Whole Nine Yards,\u201d \u201cSyriana\u201d and \u201cIgby\u202fGoes Down,\u201d among others. Her play \u201cThe Commons of Pensacola,\u201d which was produced by Manhattan Theatre Club, starred Blythe Danner and Sarah Jessica Parker. Her most recent play, \u201cOur Very Own Carlin McCullough,\u201d ran in 2018 at The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.\u202f Most recently, Peet created the series \u201cThe Chair\u201d starring Sandra Oh.<\/p>\n<p>Alexandra Cunningham (\u201cDirty John,\u201d \u201cChance\u201d) serves as writer, showrunner and executive producer on the series alongside executive producer Kevin J. Hynes (\u201cPerry Mason\u201d), with whom Cunningham shares co-story credit, and executive producers Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television.
