But more notably, this lineup includes BMW\u2019s first affordable electric car\u2014the BMW iX1\u00a0xDrive30.<\/p>\n<p>While we\u2019re still missing some details, it seems that the\u00a0BMW iX1\u00a0xDrive30 will stick with some modest (but respectable) specs. A high-density battery in the vehicle\u2019s underbody provides\u00a0257 to 272 miles of range (or\u00a0413 to 438 kilometers), and two drive units at the front and rear axles push a combined output of\u00a0313 horsepower, providing an overall torque of 364 foot-pounds.<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"ogasA3n22yg\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/ogasA3n22yg\/hqdefault.jpg');\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"lty-playbtn\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"lyt-visually-hidden\">Play Video<\/span><br \/>\n<\/button>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n<p>The car\u2019s battery capacity is unknown, though it uses the same charging system as the\u00a0BMW i7. That means it should charge at 11 kW when plugged into a Level 2 charging station\u2014a relatively fast speed \u00a0that hasn\u2019t been confirmed by BWM.<\/p>\n<p>As for pricing, we\u2019re not entirely sure what the BMW iX1 will cost. It will almost certainly be the cheapest EV in BMW\u2019s lineup, meaning that it will cost less than the $56,000 BMW i4. (The basic gas-powered BMW X1 costs $35,000.)<\/p>\n<p>BWM will launch gas and diesel models of BMW X1 this October, barring any delays.
