On Wednesday (June 1), he tweeted, \u201cIt\u2019s not cool to be gangsta. Go start a business.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It\u2019s not cool to be gangsta. Go start a business<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Almighty Jay (@ybnalmightyjay) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ybnalmightyjay\/status\/1532014866776694790?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 1, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Almighty Jay\u2019s sentiments are similar to Soulja Boy who, during an interview with <em>HipHopDX<\/em> in January, reminder r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ers they shouldn\u2019t have one foot in the street life while trying to have a rap career.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about some of his favorite new rappers, the jovial conversation took a more serious turn when the gravity of losing dozens of rappers to violence or prison in 2021 appeared to set in, even though it was more so implied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got favorite new rappers, but they be getting locked up,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cFree the young talent, man. We got to keep our new talent out the streets. Every time I find a new rapper, they getting locked up. So free the young rappers, man. I know it\u2019s hard in the streets, but you can\u2019t be in the streets and be a rapper at the same time. You got to separate it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <em>DX<\/em> in May, The D.O.C. said it was also important for the vets to help guide the next generation when addressing the dozens of violent deaths that have taken place in the rap community in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think things like that are sort of already in the air and growing,\u201d he said. \u201cA lot of things like that are already in play, in space. I see it, you know what I mean?
