of <i>Love If Possible<\/i>, Osaka psych-rock icon <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/shintarosakamoto.bandcamp.com\/\">Shintaro Sakamoto<\/a> has returned with <i>Like a Fable<\/i>, his fourth solo LP. Arriving via Zelone Records\/Secretly Distribution, the album features Sakamoto\u2019s long-time backing band \u2014 Yuta Suganuma on drums, AYA (OOIOO) on bass and backing vocals, and Tetsu Nishiuchi on saxophone and flute \u2014 as well as KEN KEN, who plays trombone on two tracks. It\u2019s engineered by Soichiro Nakamura and, as with most of Sakamoto\u2019s releases, the artwork is his own.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            Best known for his 20-year tenure as the frontman of Yura Yura Teikoku and for his groundbreaking sophomore solo release, 2014\u2019s <i>Let\u2019s Dance Raw<\/i>, Sakamoto champions and expands on his native island\u2019s very specific sound, mixing aqueous guitar lines with lush arrangements that belie his group\u2019s four-piece setup. On the new record, he muses on the ways our daily lives have fundamentally changed (and stayed the same) in the midst of a global pandemic.
