And there are no further details as to how soon \u201csoon\u201d actually is.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2022\/06\/02\/android-auto-for-phone-screens-shut-down\/\">9to5google<\/a>, Google confirmed that the app is being done away with, but didn\u2019t share any info about when it\u2019s going to stop working:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For the people who use Android Auto in supported vehicles, that experience isn\u2019t going away \u2014 and in fact we announced an upcoming major UI improvement recently at Google I\/O. For those who use the on phone experience (Android Auto mobile app), they will be transitioned to Google Assistant driving mode which is our next evolution of the mobile driving experience. We have no further details to share at this time<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This basically means that either you\u2019ll buy a vehicle with Android Auto as a built-in feature, or you\u2019ll have to switch to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/assistant\/answer\/10217503?hl=en\">Google Assistant driving mode<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Assistant driving mode has surely come a long way since its initial launch. It combines Google Maps and Assistant, both of which integrate various <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> apps. It looks more modern and can more or less handle the same things.<\/p>\n<p>Still, it\u2019s not quite as polished as Android Auto yet, and to activate it you\u2019ll need to enter a destination into Google Maps \u2014 something that isn\u2019t always necessary and isn\u2019t required in Android Auto.<\/p>\n<p>Presumably, you\u2019ll be able to continue using Android Auto in regions where Google\u2019s Assistant driving mode isn\u2019t available yet.
