\n An anti-Semitic message was discovered on a building that houses the New York Professional Nurses Union on the Upper East Side \u2014 the second hateful note discovered in the neighborhood in the past two weeks.<\/p>\n

The note scrawled in front of the Upper East Side building was similar to the one found taped on the storefront office window of Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright nearby on York Avenue, a union rep said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The lurid messages, which The Post is not reprinting, made sexual references and alluded to Jewish stereotypes.<\/p>\n

Eileen Toback, the executive director of the nurses\u2019 union who is Jewish, said she reported the hateful message to the NYPD\u2019s 19th Precinct and its hate crimes unit after seeing The Post\u2019s story about the bigot who targeted Seawright.<\/p>\n

\u201cHate crimes and hate speech diminish us all. It shouldn\u2019t be tolerated or normalized,\u201d Toback told The Post. \u201cA crime against any one of us is a crime against all of us, whether it\u2019s anti-Semitic, racist, anti-immigrant, misogynistic, homophobic or anti-transgender.\u201d<\/p>\n

Toback discovered the anti-Semitic graffiti written on a construction port-a-potty located 10 feet from her office at 241 East 75th Street.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rise in hate crimes must be taken seriously, and the New York Professional Nurses Union will do all we can to support the police\u2019s investigation in this matter,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Toback wondered if there\u2019s a connection between the two incidents.<\/p>\n

The union supports Seawright\u2019s reelection and lent her petitioners office space last month when her campaign was collecting voter signatures to get her on the ballot. The notes were similar.<\/p>\n

Because of paperwork snafus, Seawright, a three-term incumbent, was knocked off the Democratic and Working Families party lines and has filed independent petitions to run on the independent \u201cRise and Unite\u201d ballot line.<\/p>\n

Gov. Andrew Cuomo condemned the anti-Semitic graffiti directed at Seawright, as did her opponents, Republican candidate Louis Puliafito and Democratic activist Patrick Bobilin, who is seeking to run under the independent \u201cBlue Wave\u201d banner.<\/p>\n

\u201cHate is not acceptable period. I ask the @NYPD19pct to please obtain and post the video of this crime online in hope of catching these perpetrators,\u201d Puliafito tweeted.<\/p>\n

Bobilin tweeted, \u201cI may not agree with the Assembly member on everything but we certainly stand together against misogyny and anti-semitism (sic). This is upsetting and unwelcome in our neighborhood. Solidarity with @SawrightForNY against hate.<\/p>\n
