His economic policies are among the big reasons we\u2019re suffering with 8% inflation (a stealth tax on the working class) and markets are signaling a possible recession.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Influence_is_growing\"><\/span>Influence is growing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Worse, he shows no signs of \u00adreversing course while his power is growing. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is said to be not long for the administration, possibly gone after the midterms, for failing to see the inflation threat before it was too late.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>High on the shortlist to replace her is staff-favorite Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, and maybe Gary Gensler, the hyper-ambitious and progressive Securities and Exchange Commission chair who has lefty Sen. Elizabeth Warren in his \u00adcorner.<\/p>\n<p>While Yellen\u2019s situation gets sorted out, Deese, director of the president\u2019s National Economic Council, is Biden\u2019s inflation and economic go-to guy, I am told. My sources in DC say Deese was the main wordsmith behind a recent op-ed in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/america-needs-more-houses-affordable-housing-inflation-supply-demand-costs-build-homes-zoning-11652635651\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a> in which the president finally admitted inflation won\u2019t be going away anytime soon. (Deese recently conceded as much on Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaching $25 trillion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>His r\u00e9sum\u00e9 is far too steeped in progressive policies and politics that are at the heart of our inflationary woes.<\/p>\n<p>Consider: Deese, fresh from Yale Law School, cut his teeth in government as key economic adviser to Barack Obama, the president who famously used his skills as a community organizer in an effort to remake the US economy into something that would make Saul Alinsky proud.<\/p>\n<p>Deese worked on Obama\u2019s auto bailouts, burnishing his rep as a super progressive in dealing with the carmarkers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ing through the administration\u2019s budget and economic bureaucracy, he took a crack at private-sector work at BlackRock to advance a progressive investing fad known as ESG, or Environmental Social Governance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/JoeBiden-1.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"President Joe Biden\" class=\"wp-image-22538191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/JoeBiden-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/JoeBiden-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/JoeBiden-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>President Joe Biden\u2019s war on oil is causing pain at the pump, as gas prices surge.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Michael Reynolds \/ Pool via CNP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Deese spent three years as global head of sustainable investing at the $10 trillion asset-management company, imploring money managers to screen out companies that didn\u2019t meet strict environmental standards set by progressive influencers.<\/p>\n<p>Under ESG guidelines, for example, oil companies are implored to cut back on drilling and invest in windmills \u2014 with the threat that BlackRock might divest or seek management change.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Because of BlackRock\u2019s size, these edicts were copied by other investment firms.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_wrath_of_woke\"><\/span>The wrath of woke<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As we all know, corporate America chose to adopt ESG standards rather than face the wrath of woke investors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>It\u2019s one reason the US is so reliant on foreign oil for our energy needs \u2014 and why gas prices were rising even before the oil market was roiled by Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason is that after leaving BlackRock and joining the Biden White House, Deese was among those leading the charge to implement these woke corporate edicts in national fiscal and energy policy.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s needless spending, massive new regulations, and the hurdles his White House have imposed on domestic oil production, combined with Fed money printing, created the inflationary mess, of course.<\/p>\n<p>These aren\u2019t solely Deese\u2019s doing, but he is said to have had a heavy hand in each.<\/p>\n<p>Now, with Yellen being sidelined, his hand is growing stronger, which is why you see him on TV so much these days.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yet for all his TV talk about looking to fix inflation, his remedies remain more of the same: A heavy emphasis on green boondoggles, and less drilling that has resulted in higher gas prices and inflation that we all will have to just suck up and live with as the economy works through a necessary \u201ctransition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over at BlackRock, Deese\u2019s old boss, Larry Fink, has been re-thinking his firm\u2019s ESG goals, stating that such standards are too drastic to be achieved overnight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Inflation and social unrest are inevitable without a transition to reduce the nation\u2019s carbon footprint that will take some time.<\/p>\n<p>Good for him, but too bad for the American people.<\/p>\n<p>Deese hasn\u2019t gotten Fink\u2019s memo, or is simply refusing to read it.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
