She explained: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cGiven women still tend to be the primary caretakers when they have children, this added flexibility means their careers might not take the hit to seniority that women\u2019s careers sometimes suffer after they take time out to have children.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>McKenna also said that the space empowers skilled workers who are not as confident or extroverted. According to McKenna, most blockchain projects place more emphasis on skills and merit. This results in the opportunity for those who are shy or introverted to \u201chave their work speak for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause so much emphasis is placed on skills and merit in the blockchain space, I actually think that the barriers to entry are lower,\u201d she said. However, there\u2019s also the challenge of \u201cmustering the courage to throw yourself in.\u201d Despite this, the executive encouraged people and said that the space is \u201csuper welcoming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked about her thoughts on the Metaverse, McKenna said that she believes that the community should double down on efforts to make it a safe space for women and children. Despite the physical safety, the metaverse has its own share of risks. She said: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe Metaverse is a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> environment where people can obscure their real-world identities, it\u2019s an environment where women and children have to be especially safeguarded.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>McKenna also expressed her belief that innovation should still focus on &#8220;what really matters,&#8221; which is the people. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Sculptor aims to use the Fearless Girl statue to empower women in crypto<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, billionaire Bitcoin (BTC) investor Tim Draper recently said that women may drive the BTC price up in the next bull run.
