Picking up the baton from the late <strong>Kentaro Miura<\/strong> are his friend and fellow mangaka <strong>Kouji Mori<\/strong> and the former\u2019s assistants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">As explained in a message from Mori on the Hakusensha website, he was the only person who had been informed of <em>Berserk<\/em>\u2018s full story by Miura. \u201cI will recall the details as much as possible and tell the story. Also, I will only write the episodes that Miura talked to me about,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI will not flesh it out. I will not write episodes that I don\u2019t remember clearly. I will only write the lines and stories that Miura described to me. Of course, it will not be perfect. Still, I think I can almost tell the story that Miura wanted to tell.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Hakusensha\u2019s Young Animal Editing Department noted that Miura did not leave behind rough drafts, and stated that while it would be impossible to create a manu<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> exactly as Miura would, \u201cwe will write the manga so as not to deviate from Mr. Miura\u2019s own words.\u201d On how the resumption will be carried out on the publishing side, it wrote, \u201cFrom the next issue [Issue 13], we will first publish six chapters until the end of \u2018Fantasia Arc\/Elf Island Chapter\u2019. will have the credits of \u201cOriginal work by Kentaro Miura, Manga by Studio Gaga, Supervised by Kouji Mori.\u201d The manga volumes\u2019 numbering will maintain their order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Currently, 41 tankoubon volumes have been published as of December 2021. Miura passed away from a ruptured aortic dissection on May 6, 2021 at the age of 54.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Mori shared that he was initially unsure about what to do with his knowledge of <em>Berserk<\/em>\u2018s story, saying that he wondered if he should talk to fans via an interview or publish article with illustrations. Below is an excerpt from his statement:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Just when I was trying to decide what to do, I received a message.<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u201cThe staff are saying they will finish the last chapter that was left behind, so can you take a look?\u201d<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The last few pages of the chapter were incomplete. Some did not even have the characters drawn on them.<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">I took a look at the manuscript, without expecting much.<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Desperation can push people to create miracles \u2014 There it was, the completed manuscript for Berserk.<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u201cMr. Mori, will you let us do it?\u201d<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Miura\u2019s apprentices, who Miura had been so proud of while he was alive, asked me straight.<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Company Director Shimada, a mentor for me and Miura, also said, \u201cIf you do it, the company will give our full support.\u201d<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">I thought, if I run away now, Miura would say:<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u201cI talked to you about it so much, but you didn\u2019t do it!!\u201d<\/span><\/em><br \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Alright. I\u2019ll do it properly.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><i>Berserk <\/i>first began serialization in Hakusensha\u2019s Monthly Animal House in 1989, and later moved to Young Animal in 1992. The manga has inspired multiple anime adaptations, including 1997\u2019s <em>Berserk<\/em>, the 2012-2013 <i>Berserk: The Golden Age Arc <\/i>film trilogy, and a 2016 CG TV anime adaptation.\u00a0<i>Berserk\u00a0<\/i>has also been adapted into several video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s, including 2016\u2019s\u00a0<i>Berserk Musou<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Dark Horse describes the manga as:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">His na<\/span>me is Guts, the Black Swordsman, a feared warrior spoken of only in whispers.
