TBH, she just did that last month when she flipped the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> and asked her man to marry her \u2014 and now she\u2019s defending the decision all over again!<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old former\u00a0<em>Bachelorette<\/em> is speaking up about her non-traditional proposal to now-fianc\u00e9\u00a0<strong>Thomas Jacobs<\/strong>, where <em>she<\/em> was the one to get down on one knee and pop the proverbial question about marriage and happily ever after.<\/p>\n<p>In a new chat with fellow former\u00a0<em>Bachelorette<\/em>\u00a0<strong>Michelle Young<\/strong> on their\u00a0<em>Bachelor Happy Hour<\/em> podcast, the Minnesota-born reality TV alum opened up about her decision to be the one to move things toward wedding bells with Jacobs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Ouch! Katie Thurston Slams \u2018The Bachelorette\u2019 While Praising \u2018Love Is Blind\u2019!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Slamming the traditional view of having the man propose marriage, Kufrin explained to Young that she heard all kinds of accusations about supposedly being \u201cdesperate\u201d because she was the one who asked!<\/p>\n<p>Kufrin revealed more about the negative reaction to her proposal, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cPeople are like, \u2018she\u2019s desperate.\u2019 \u2018I would never allow a woman to propose to the man.\u2019 \u2018I would never do this.\u2019\u00a0It\u2019s like, cool, that\u2019s you. But why does it, as a female, make me desperate to want to [propose] to somebody? If Thomas in a week were to do the exact same thing, no one says he\u2019s desperate. It doesn\u2019t make sense to me. The logic\u2019s not there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"highlight\">Exactly!!!<\/p>\n<p>And thankfully, it sounds like Jacobs didn\u2019t feel any sort of negativity about Becca\u2019s unexpected proposal. She claimed he was \u201cso appreciative\u201d of the moment and \u201cdid not feel offended\u201d over the role reversal.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Jacobs himself chimed in on the new podcast episode, too. Full of hope and love for his other half, the 29-year-old real estate broker explained how he reacted to the life-changing question:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI feel very fortunate to have been able to experience that. I\u2019m even more fortunate that it\u2019s with [Becca]. And I\u2019m just excited for this life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"highlight\">Awww!<\/p>\n<p>The duo have a lot in store for the future, too. For one, the former\u00a0<em>ABC<\/em> television personalities plan to combine their current last names with a hyphen for when they have kids. They haven\u2019t decided on the name order yet, but they know full well the meaning behind the decision.<\/p>\n<p>Becca explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe\u2019ll have our kids hyphenate. They\u2019re both of us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jacobs backed her up all the way, noting how his now-fianc\u00e9e\u2019s late father deserved to have a legacy as part of the soon-to-be-growing famous family:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSince Becca lost her father and it\u2019s her and her sister, I just don\u2019t want to see any scenario where there\u2019s not a Kufrin going around in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That truly warms our hearts!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Yes, Politics Played A HUGE Role In Becca\u2019s Split From Ex-Fianc\u00e9 Garrett Yrigoyen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To think these two came all the way from meeting on the seventh season of\u00a0<em>Bachelor in Paradise<\/em> to where they are today is so inspiring!
