\n Heart-stopping video shows a California cop saving a man\u2019s life with seconds to spare after his wheelchair got trapped in the middle of a crossing \u2014 as a train barreled toward him.<\/p>\n

Bodycam footage shows alarms already sounding as Lodi police officer Erika Urrea got out of her squad vehicle early Wednesday after spotting the wheelchair stuck in tracks in the middle.<\/p>\n

The Union Pacific train then repeatedly sounded its horn as it raced straight toward them \u2014 with Urrea hauling the 66-year-old man out of his chair just seconds before a head-on smash.<\/p>\n

As they both fell back, the train still hit the bottom of the man\u2019s legs \u2014 but he was saved from certain death, Lodi police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficer Urrea risked her own life to save another, and her actions prevented a tragedy today,\u201d the department said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely proud of Officer Urrea and her heroism,\u201d the force said of the 14-year veteran.<\/p>\n

The injured man, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital where he was in a stable condition, police told Lodi News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Urrea refused to give interviews to local media<\/a> about what her force called her \u201cvery heroic\u201d actions.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe prevented a tragedy and she saved a man\u2019s life. She\u2019s very humble in doing so,\u201d Lodi Police Department spokesperson Melita Kautz told KCRA.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
