If you\u2019ve booted into a live Linux USB before, you may know that it doesn\u2019t save your data and will start afresh if you reboot it. With persistence, your data will be saved the next time you boot into the same Linux live ISO. operating system. Start by inserting your USB drive into your PC\u2019s USB port and check if the device shows up in Ventoy. If not, click on the \u201cRefresh\u201d icon.<\/p>\n<p>Once Ventoy detects the USB drive, click on the \u201cInstall\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p>Two warnings will be displayed saying, \u201cThe device will be formatted, and all the data will be lost.\u201d Click \u201cYes\u201d both times, and wait for Ventoy to install.<\/p>\n<p>Once installed, you\u2019ll see that the space below \u201cVentoy in Device\u201d in the program, which was previously empty, will now show the Ventoy version. This is an indicator that Ventoy has been installed successfully.<\/p>\n<p>Head over to your file manager, and you should now see the \u201cVentoy\u201d directory.
