Solo, Mehling records pop music as JDM Global. That name might be slightly tongue-in-cheek \u2013\u00a0a quick Google search for &#8220;JDM Global&#8221; reveals a couple of sites selling parts for Japanese cars \u2013 but the music is sincere. Like his new song &#8220;Dizzy,&#8221; out today.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            The track pulls a fair amount from peak Madchester, sans acid house: its gloriously funky bassline, balmy pan flute, and Mehling&#8217;s stoned delivery help make &#8220;Dizzy&#8221; a vintage beach rave for discerning listeners. But what really sells it is the music video, a playful and colorful set of visuals reminiscent of Michel Gondry where Mehling treats the world like a toybox, clay rainbows and all.
