Bitcoin will finish 2022 \u2018flat, possibly up\u2019 says analyst as Saylor bets on $1M BTC &#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-2a0745c6>Bitcoin (BTC) retains two of its best-known proponents but one has cooled his BTC price forecasts considerably.<\/p>\n<p>In an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNBCOvertime\/status\/1534643848936407040\">interview<\/a> with CNBC on June 9, Tom Lee, co-founder of independent research firm Fundstrat, revealed he was unsure if BTC\/USD would end the year above its starting price.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lee_suggests_market_has_%E2%80%9Calready_bottomed%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>Lee suggests market has &#8220;already bottomed&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Bitcoin price projections for 2022 have plummeted as macro pressures combine with black swan events such as the Terra LUNA implosion to send sentiment to near record lows.<\/p>\n<p>While many argue that a capitulation event will enter in the coming months to send BTC\/USD to $20,000 or under, Lee believes that underlying strength is worth paying attention to now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a risk-on asset, so I think to the extent that Nasdaq and Bitcoin rally, it\u2019s helping us become more comfortable that the market\u2019s already bottomed,\u201d he told CNBC\u2019s CB Overtime segment.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Lee brushed off the Terra debacle and redundancies at major crypto companies including United States exchange Coinbase, saying that Bitcoin was \u201cacting far better than people expect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked where BTC price action was headed by the start of 2023 \u2014 even if correlated stock markets put in gains \u2014 the response was less optimistic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Bitcoin\u2019s going to make its way to flat for the year, possibly up,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Lee was previously famous for his bullish takes on Bitcoin, among which was a prediction of $200,000 for 2022 made shortly after the latest all-time high of $69,000 last November.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Saylor_on_BTC_%E2%80%9CIf_its_not_going_to_zero_its_going_to_a_million%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>Saylor on BTC: &#8220;If it\u2019s not going to zero, it\u2019s going to a million&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, unapologetically bullish was MicroStrategy CEO, Michael Saylor, who his own comments to mainstream <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> firmly brushed aside any suggestion of permanent price downside.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related:\u00a0BTC price gains 4% pre-Fed as MicroStrategy vows to protect Bitcoin from $21K crash<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Those who claimed that Bitcoin would be banned or go to zero, he <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BitcoinNews2905\/status\/1534321219234934785\">told<\/a> CNBC on June 8, had already been \u201cdiscredited.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the deniers are wrong and the skeptics are wrong \u2014 and it\u2019s pretty obvious they\u2019re both wrong at this point \u2014 it\u2019s not going to zero, and if it\u2019s not going to zero, it\u2019s going to a million,\u201d Saylor forecast.<\/p>\n<p>While nothing new, Saylor being \u201cvery bullish on where we go from here\u201d increasingly grates with the downbeat perspective on risk assets across the board in the new era of central bank monetary tightening.<\/p>\n<p>As Cointelegraph reported, some believe that it will take until the next block subsidy halving in 2024 for a meaningful price recovery to enter.<\/p>\n<p>Saylor meanwhile said that when it comes to buying more BTC for its existing reserves, there was no point in \u201ctiming the market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re kind of doing the equivalent of dollar cost averaging for a large corporation,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe\u2019re not trying to time the market; I think all the statistics on the S&amp;P and on the Bitcoin index show you can\u2019t time the market.
