However, given a few context clues, we can make an educated guess as to the timeline of the Netflix show. For example, during <em>Kong: Skull Island<\/em>, the giant ape is still a younger primate and is far from reaching its full-grown size seen in later iterations.<br \/>\n <!-- No winning ad found for zone: word count #2! --><br \/>\nBased on the footprint size seen in the teaser image, this is a slightly older Kong, but not as experienced as we see in <em>Godzilla vs. Kong. <\/em>Following the events of the 2021 film, King Kong moves from Skull Island to live in Hollow Earth, an underground kingdom that exists beneath the crust of the earth. Therefore, the new series takes place somewhere between 1970, and 2021, with the monster being near his prime in terms of strength and size.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><br \/>\nBrian Duffield writes the show, responsible for movies like <em>Love and Monsters <\/em>(2020), <em>The Babysitter <\/em>(2017), and <em>Insurgent <\/em>(2015), the second installment in the <em>Divergent <\/em>franchise. Brad Graeber is the executive producer for <em>Skull Island<\/em>. In addition, he has experience with Netflix, producing the series <em>Blood of Zeus, <\/em>a show focused on Heron, the son of Zeus who must save the world from a demonic army. Joining Graeber as a producer of <em>Skull Island <\/em>is Jacob Robinson, executive producer of the upcoming <em>Tomb Raider <\/em>series.
