He wears a band of them on his wrist often.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Corbis via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The \u201cRock Center\u201d Adams is apparently referring to is the geological layer known as the Manhattan Schist, outcroppings of which can actually be seen in areas such as Central Park, as well as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/untappedcities.com\/2017\/03\/29\/10-places-you-can-see-manhattan-schist-up-close-in-nyc\/\">in the basement of Grand Central Terminal<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>It contains more than 100 minerals \u2014 including quartz, kyanite and dumortierite \u2014 and was formed roughly 450 million years ago.<\/p>\n<p>A New York based crystal expert <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/lifeandstyle\/2022\/jun\/09\/crystals-eric-adams-new-york\">told the Guardian<\/a> that the mayor \u2014 who <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/office-of-the-mayor\/news\/354-22\/transcript-mayor-eric-adams-outlines-vision-city-yes-plan-citywide-zoning\">recently declared that a \u201cvibe shift\u201d is happening<\/a> in NYC \u2014 also, appears to wear several types of quartz on his wrist.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/eric-adams-circus-1c.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Mayor Eric Adams believes that the rocks below the boroughs give off good energy to New York.
