This week, they recalled District Attorney Chesa (\u201cI prosecute nobody\u201d) Boudin, on whose watch the city\u2019s crime rate skyrocketed and clusters of predatory \u201chomeless\u201d proliferated.<\/p>\n<p>Many of our local political leaders need the mitten, too.\u00a0All espouse zany theories. Some are anti-capitalism, others effectively pro-crime (whether they\u2019ll admit it or not), and\u00a0all devoid of common sense. We don\u2019t have California\u2019s recall mechanism, but they need to be voted out of office before they do any more damage. <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ALVIN_BRAGG_Manhattan_District_Attorney\"><\/span><strong>ALVIN BRAGG, Manhattan District Attorney<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Calling for his head is almost too obvious. Bragg didn\u2019t sneak into office by concealing his intentions. He said in his campaign he would \u201cdecline [to prosecute] and divert minor offenses.\u201d He didn\u2019t mean only \u201cbroken windows\u201d enforcement, but reducing armed robberies\u00a0to misdemeanors if no one was shot. It\u2019s what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens when shoplifters, vandals, predatory beggars and even stickup men know they\u2019ll be turned loose. She uniquely packages ignorance, stupidity, incomprehensibility, hypocrisy and ideological lunacy in a single congressional seat.\u00a0 Virulently anti-Israel, she refused to vote for funds to bolster that nation\u2019s Iron Dome anti-missile system, which is a strictly defensive weapon to shoot down rockets aimed at civilians.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/aoc-present-vote-israel-iron-dome-cried-tears\">She said, <\/a>\u201cI wept at an institution choosing a path of maximum volatility and minimum consideration for its own political convenience.\u201d Translation, anyone?<\/p>\n<p>AOC wants to\u00a0defund the NYPD, close Rikers Island and release its inmates into the streets. The self-professed, two-faced <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a>ist has modeled fancy duds by designers like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CG-aEX6gv4a\/?hl=en\">Loewe<\/a>, Carolina Herrera and Christian Louboutin. They pushed through \u201cbail reform\u201d laws in 2019 (which former Gov. Andrew Cuomo disgracefully signed) that all but eliminated cash bail, even for many violent felons \u2014 allowing innumerable criminals to be back on streets in a matter of hours.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike in every other state, the new rules denied judges discretion from taking into account a suspect\u2019s past record and likelihood of posing a danger to the community. The result? Evil-doers have\u00a0the run of the town. They\u2019ve included armed gang members who killed rivals and hit innocent children in crossfires, psychotics who shove people onto subway tracks and molesters of 12-year-old girls.<\/p>\n<p>Heastie and Stewart-Cousins shrug off Mayor Eric Adams\u2019 pleas to take into account the havoc their laws have caused. His job blessedly doesn\u2019t allow him to do that, but it\u2019s bad enough that he bases his stewardship over $248 billion in city pension funds partly on priorities involving climate, sustainability and social justice \u2013 which have little to do with getting the highest return for cops, firefighters and other municipal unions.<\/p>\n<p>As a Council member, he voted against rezoning a sliver of Flushing waterfront \u2013 which has been off-limits to the public for decades \u2013 to allow apartment and retail construction. This was after the developer, who needed a zoning change,\u00a0had made concession after concession to appease her.<\/p>\n<p>The plan known as One45 would have harmed no one while bringing the neighborhood desperately needed new housing. It required no evictions. His opposition to state and city subsidies for Amazon prompted the company to pull the plug on the proposal in early 2019, thus depriving the city of thousands of jobs and tax and other revenues far greater than the value of the subsidies.<\/p>\n<p>Gianaris\u2019s power was courtesy of state legislator Andrea Stewart-Cousins (see above) who appointed him to the\u00a0Public Authorities Control Board, which oversees state subsidies. At least some of his animus towards the Amazon deal was personal: sources told The Post that his feelings were hurt because\u00a0former Gov.
