He refused to resume playing until a supervisor stepped in.<\/p>\n<p>The Australia native lost to Murray in the semifinals and later said on Instagram that he was called a \u201clittle black sheep\u201d and told to \u201cshut up and play\u201d by the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen is this going to stop?\u201d he asked. \u201cDealing with racial slurs from the crowd? I UNDERSTAND THAT MY BEHAVIOUR ISNT THE BEST ALL THE TIME \u2013 but \u2018you little black sheep\u2019 \u2018shut up and play\u2019 little comments like this are NOT ACCEPTABLE. When I retaliate to the crowd, I get penalised. Kyrgios said he has experienced similar racism from fans at tournaments in Indian Wells, Calif. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne thing I won\u2019t ever tolerate is spectators heckling and blasting abuse to athletes,\u201d Kyrgios wrote on Instagram. \u201cIt\u2019s been h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening personally to me for a while, from racist comments to complete disrespect. For years it\u2019s been something I\u2019ve brushed off but especially in Indian wells and today all the way in Stuttgart, it\u2019s made me realise that people seem to think it\u2019s normal.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p>Kyrgios mentioned that he has seen it happen to athletes in other sports, as the Nets and Kyrie Irving pointed out in Boston during last year\u2019s playoff <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> against the Celtics. He took responsibility for not always handling his emotions well. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are playing FOR YOU, whether you are backing the opponent or not,\u201d Kyrgios wrote. \u201cYou may not think it\u2019s a big deal, but it could affect someone\u2019s life more than you think. Wake up to yourselves. Not just in tennis, but in every other sport.
