Like they started to flow out,\u201d she told ABC <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> about her reaction to finding out. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy siblings and I were just really excited, like screaming, jumping around. It was crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The budding scholar, who went to high school at Miami Beach Senior High School, was also accepted to Stanford, Vanderbilt, and Emory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just decided to shoot my shot at all of them and see if it would land \u2014 And I had no idea that I would get accepted into all of them,\u201d the 17-year-old student told CNN. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/florida-teen-eight-ivy-league-04.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Ashley ended up choosing to attend Harvard.\" class=\"wp-image-22630735\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/florida-teen-eight-ivy-league-04.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/florida-teen-eight-ivy-league-04.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/florida-teen-eight-ivy-league-04.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Ashley wound up choosing to attend Harvard.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Instagram \/ Ashley Adirika<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI remember crying a lot and just being extremely surprised.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ashley ended up choosing Harvard, which only accepted a record-low of 3.19% of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lications for the class of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore the college application process, Yale was actually my top choice. And so in the short term, for me, that looks like becoming a lawyer,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut in the long term, I want to use that as a platform to do work in policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adirika was recruited to her school\u2019s debate team when she was in eighth grade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody knew Ashley because of how smart she was.
