We were shooting in the Louvre at night. I changed my pants in front of the Mona Lisa,\u201d the \u201cElvis\u201d star told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2022\/06\/13\/magazine\/tom-hanks-interview.html\">the New York Times<\/a> in an interview published Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey brought me a birthday cake in the Grand Salon! Who gets to have that experience? Any cynicism there? No, it\u2019s way over there. See how a cross is formed on a map? Well, it\u2019s sort of a cross,&#8217;\u201d he said. \u201cBut they\u2019re as cynical as a crossword puzzle. All we were doing is promising a diversion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hanks noted that even though he\u2019s not against big-budget projects, he couldn\u2019t support the third \u201cDa Vinci Code\u201d film by the time it came around.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s nothing wrong with good commerce, provided it is good commerce,\u201d he pointed out. \u201cBy the time we made the third, we proved that it wasn\u2019t such good commerce.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
