Now it looks like another helpful addition is on the way: partial split window sn<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ing.<\/p>\n<p>Chrome OS already has basic window snapping, where you can drag a window to the left or right sides of your screen to \u2018snap\u2019 the window into taking up half of the screen. Then you can drag another window to the other side, and instantly have a split-screen layout.<\/p>\n<p>Google is now working on a \u2018Partial Split\u2019 mode, which seemingly divides the window snapping layouts into thirds \u2014 meaning one window can take up one-third of the screen, while another app can use the remaining two-thirds of the screen. The feature isn\u2019t functional in Chrome OS yet, but it should appear in the Canary and Dev Channels soon with the feature flag #partial-split.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 2560px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-811096\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-13-101124.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1080\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Example of a 1\/3 window and 2\/3 window split on a PC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Partial Split sounds like it will be most useful on devices with wide displays, such as Chromeboxes connected to large 16:9 or 21:9 screens. Even on normal laptop screens, the smaller side of the split could still leave enough room for most Android apps, or web apps properly optimized for smaller views. Importantly, it doesn\u2019t seem like having three windows that are 1\/3 each will be supported, at least initially.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not clear yet when the feature will roll out to everyone.
