The company is trying to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.<\/p>\n<p>The slimmed-down vehicles don the company\u2019s gold-colored logo and accompanying s<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>e on a dark brown background. The company now has a fleet of more than 1,000 electric vehicles and thousands more that aren\u2019t powered by traditional gas engines.<\/p>\n<p>UPS said a trial run is focused on New York City and in several cities in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew York is a complicated city, when we look at the density,\u201d said Nicole Pilet, the industrial engineering director for UPS. \u201cSo if we can have success here in the city, then we can see how we implement in other cities throughout the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company had its start in Seattle more than a century ago and the first deliveries were made by foot or bicycle. As the company grew, its motorized fleet did, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is right in my wheelhouse,\u201d said Dyghton Anderson, a 22-year-old UPS delivery person and an avid cyclist who is helping pilot the program. \u201cI ride to and from work \u2014 from all the way from the Bronx all the way to here on 43rd \u2014 so it\u2019s pretty comfortable for me.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
