Fans joked that she \u201ccured the coronavirus\u201d when she gave $1 million to scientists involved in\u00a0Moderna\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine trials in April 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew something bad was on the rise and I just wanted to kind of help with that,\u201d Parton then<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/music-news\/dolly-parton-covid-vaccine-donation-1234999525\/\"> told the Hollywood Reporter<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>\u201cMine was a small part, of course.
