Last month he debuted a song on <em>SNL<\/em> titled <em>Love\/Hate Letter To Alcohol<\/em>. In the song he told the story of his complicated relationship with the substance \u2014 even an instance where it caused him to lose a few teeth! Ouch!<\/p>\n<p>Posty didn\u2019t stop there, though. On Monday\u2019s episode of <em>The Howard Stern Show<\/em>, he further opened up about his struggles \u2014 which is what inspired his new album. Despite the serious nature of the topic, he reiterated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI never want to bring people down. I just want to express how I feel\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He went on to admit that he isn\u2019t sober, but instead \u201cmore responsible\u201d. The <em>Sunflower<\/em> singer told Stern in chilling detail how bad things really got when he was at his lowest:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt was to a really rough point, and I couldn\u2019t get up off the floor for weeks. It was screwdrivers, it was vodka and it was bodying fifths and trying to hang in there and talking to people who weren\u2019t f**king there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Such a terrifying situation\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Bella Hadid Reveals She Quit Drinking After Experiencing \u2018This Never-Ending Effect Of Pain And Stress\u2019 From Alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also told Howard that despite the guidance he had from friends and loved ones, he had a \u201cdestructive\u201d attitude and he felt \u201ctr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed\u201d in a world of \u201cI have to do what I want to do and that\u2019s what I\u2019m going to do\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he ever got professional help for the alcohol struggles, the <em>Beerbongs &amp; Bentleys<\/em> musician surprisingly said he didn\u2019t! He said his girlfriend \u2014 who he casually revealed is now his fianc\u00e9e in another interview with Stern \u2014 was the one to help him out of the slump:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI never got help with it. I just have super beautiful people around me. I met a really beautiful person that made me feel like a human being.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Aw! How adorable! Post then went on to gush about how his unnamed fianc\u00e9e handled the situation:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAn ultimatum is always heartbreaking. It\u2019s always like \u2018oh f**k, what do I do?\u2019 It\u2019s the guidance. It\u2019s the guidance out of the dark and into the light\u2026It\u2019s \u2018You are you, and I love you so much. And I see what you can be. And I know who you can be, and you\u2019re not like this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Does anyone else need tissues after that heartfelt confession? The <em>I Fall Apart<\/em> singer credits his success to the mother of his newborn baby girl, which he announced he was expecting last month:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cShe saved my f**king life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So touching! We\u2019re so happy that Post is doing better!
