The Texas city has birthed a plethora of rap\u2019s biggest artists over the years including, most recently,\u00a0Megan Thee Stallion, who was recently honored by Mayor Sylvester Turner with her own day and a key to the city.<\/p>\n<p>Lil Flip, another Houston legend, was h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y for Meg when asked on\u00a0<em>VladTV<\/em> to share his thoughts on her accomplishment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s great! I mean, she did a whole bunch of shit for the city and do, you know,\u201d he said. \u201cWell-deserved. She\u2019s won Grammys and stuff like that so, yes, salute to Megan. That\u2019s a great thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked if Meg was the biggest artist out of Houston, Lil Flip agreed Meg was the biggest rapper and then chose to rank his top 3 artists out of H-Town. He of course had to throw himself in the mix.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot the biggest artist. The biggest artist\u00a0out of Houston is Beyonc\u00e9,\u201d Flip clarified. \u201cThen it\u2019s Flip, but\u00a0Travis Scott, he\u2019s selling a shitload of records and they count streams now as sales, you know what I mean? But it\u2019s like a different measuring stick but he on the way up there\u2026 I\u2019ve sold millions of records worldwide. And a lot of places don\u2019t have Soundscan so even some of my mixtapes, I\u2019ve sold millions of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued,\u00a0\u201cEverybody don\u2019t have Soundscan so it might not show up in the numbers, but it was plenty mom and pop stores that was ordering 20, 30 thousand copies of\u00a0<em>The Leprechaun<\/em>\u00a0every two months, and\u00a0we just cashin\u2019 out,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s why Texas, we hustlers. Independent. We gon\u2019 get it on our own. Definitely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lil Flip was referring to his underground 2000 debut, which moved over 200,000 copies and recently spawned a 2020 sequel\u00a0<em>The Leprechaun 2<\/em>. The Houston rhymer most recently dropped off his Tum Tum collab,\u00a0<em>Made In Texas 2,<\/em>\u00a0which featured appearances from Chevy Woods, Big Shasta and others.<\/p>\n<p>If Beyonc\u00e9 is truly the biggest artist out of Houston, then her hometown must have been going crazy on Thursday (June 16) when the singer revealed she\u2019d be dropping a new album titled\u00a0<em>Renaissance<\/em> on July 29.
