Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved the movie with parental guidance for those under 13 on the condition of modifications. <\/p>\n<p>Scenes and dialogues that it \u201cfound to contain elements promoting the LGBT lifestyle which violate key aspects of the Guidelines on the Film Censorship\u201d were ordered to \u201cbe cut and muted,\u201d the board said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, the film distributors did not agree to comply with the instructions\u201d and decided instead to cancel the screening, the board said, adding that it would not compromise on any LGBTQ scenes. <\/p>\n<p>The statement did not specify which scenes violated censorship guidelines.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>\u201cLightyear\u201d includes a female character voiced by actress Uzo Aduba, 41, briefly kissing her female partner in one scene in the $200 million film.<\/p>\n<p>Star Chris Evans previously smacked down critics of the same-sex smooch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real truth is, those people are idiots.\u201d said Evans, 41,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/lifestyle\/lightyear-star-chris-evans-calls-critics-on-screen-representation-idiots-2022-06-14\/\">during an interview<\/a>\u00a0with Reuters earlier this week. \u201cEvery time there\u2019s been <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that\u2019s what makes us good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Authorities across much of the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/entertainment-uzo-aduba-middle-east-united-arab-emirates-chris-evans-81287eaf972f70517137b58c1f1d1e93\">Muslim world have barred \u201cLightyear\u201d<\/a>\u00a0from being played at cinemas because it includes a brief kiss between a lesbian couple. <\/p>\n<p>Many Muslims consider gays and lesbians to be sinful and many Muslim-majority nations criminalize same-sex relationships.
