South Side<\/em> and\u00a0The Other Two<\/em> are making a big move. HBO Max just announced they will air new seasons of the Comedy Central TV shows.<\/p>\n

A comedy,\u00a0The Other Two\u00a0<\/em>centers on 28-year-old struggling actor Cary Dubeck (Drew Tarver) and his 30-year-old sister, Brooke Dubek (Hel\u00e9ne Yorke), a former dancer who is struggling with life, when their little brother Chase (Case Walker), aka \u201cChaseDreams\u201d skyrockets to fame, courtesy of the internet.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0South Side<\/em> follows two friends who just graduated community college \u2026 so now they\u2019re ready to take over the world! But until they do they\u2019re stuck at Rent-T-Own, a retail-rental crossroads where the South Side\u2019s vast ensemble of characters come together.\u201d The cast includes Sultan Salahuddin, Kareme Young, Chandra Russell, Lil Rel Howery, and Bashir Salahuddin.<\/p>\n

New seasons of The Other Two\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0South Side<\/em> are slated to debut on HBO Max in 2021.<\/p>\n

LOS ANGELES, CA \u2013 August 13, 2020<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0HBO Max<\/strong>\u00a0has announced that the upcoming seasons of the critically acclaimed comedies\u00a0The Other Two<\/em><\/strong> and\u00a0South Side<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0from Comedy Central Productions are joining the streaming platform as new Max Original series.<\/p>\n

The first seasons of\u00a0The Other Two<\/em>\u00a0and South Side\u00a0<\/em>will land on the platform in 2021 followed by brand new seasons to stream exclusively as Max Original series. Matching the Max Originals mandate for unique stories that speak to a younger skewing demographic,
<\/br>The Other Two<\/em>,\u00a0created by former\u00a0Saturday Night Live\u00a0co-head writers, follows two millennial siblings as they navigate their teenage brother\u2019s rise to internet fame and\u00a0South Side<\/em>, shot on location in Chicago\u2019s Englewood neighborhood, is an authentic, comedic look at two friends, ready to take one world, once they stop working at the local rent-to-own.<\/p>\n

As part of this deal, HBO Max has become the exclusive streaming home to the semi-autobiographical comedy\u00a0Awkawfina is<\/em>Nora from Queens,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>from the Golden Globe Award Winner\u00ae Awkwafina (Nora Lum). Season one\u00a0is available to stream now on HBO Max. Season two will premiere and air in its entirety on Comedy Central next summer before becoming available on HBO Max.<\/p>\n
