Her rep confirmed the breakup to <em>People<\/em> on Friday, revealing the former couple \u201cquietly ended their relationship last year.\u201d Last year!? Damn! They were <em>really<\/em> able to keep that news on the down low for a while. Another insider revealed to <em>Us Weekly<\/em> that Lauren and Peter also no longer live together.<\/p>\n<p>We are just shocked right now! Who would have thought this power couple were going to call it quits, especially after 12 years together? However, they did not start dating until 2010, when they starred on <em>Parenthood<\/em> as the brother-sister duo Sarah and Adam Braverman. While Lauren and Peter tried to keep their relationship out of the public eye, attending only a few red carpets together, they both had opened up about one another in interviews over the years. The <em>Gilmore Girls<\/em> alum previously spilled to <em>Redbook<\/em> in October 2010 about why they kept their romance a secret at the start, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNobody knew about it for a while because we like to be at home, cooking and not going out. I\u2019ve also been really protective of it because it\u2019s important that you can buy us as brother and sister on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She then revealed in an interview with <em>Good Housekeeping<\/em> in January 2017 that once the two decided to get together, they were serious, explaining:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOnce we got together, there was no <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> play[ing]. It was like, \u2018You like me, and I like you.\u2019 It gave me an understanding of life: This is how things h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en, and it\u2019s completely random.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Most recently, the<em> Talking as Fast as I Can<\/em> author shared on <em>The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/em> in April 2021 how their relationship dynamic changed after spending five months apart due to the COVID-19 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> restrictions. She explained at the time:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNormally it\u2019s a two-hour flight, I\u2019d come home on the weekends, but I couldn\u2019t do that [because of COVID], so we were separated for almost five months, which had never happened before. So when I came home the house was a little different. There were more piles, I would say.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On the bright side, Krause got time to bond with his 20-year-old son <strong>Roman<\/strong>, and they got into their own groove during her time away:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI think the reentry was more difficult. It was more like they were the married couple, and I was the person who \u2026 they were like, \u2018We don\u2019t do it that way anymore.\u2019 They were like, \u2018No, no, no, this is how things happen.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Perhaps, the distance and shift in their relationship was ultimately their downfall?
