August Pfluger (R-TX) told The Post. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSan Angelo is a welcoming community, but the locality has not volunteered for this mission, nor are they responsible for the burdens of the border crisis,\u201d said Pfluger. \u201cThis situation is a direct result of DHS\u2019 shortsighted policies that encourage more illegal immigration and the agency\u2019s failure to establish operational control of the southern border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pfluger, who represents San Angelo in Congress, was alerted to this possibility by San Angelo law enforcement who were alarmed about their ability to absorb any amount of immigrants. They are usually dropped off at bus stations in border communities like Del Rio, Texas, where a S<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>es gas stations doubles as the bus depot. The immigrants are usually headed to cities in the interior of the United States and do not plan on staying in border communities. We\u2019re just moving people around,\u201d Robert Beau Nettleton said.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">valverdecounty.texas.gov<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cYes, it will relieve some of the pressure off of the border communities, but then it\u2019s going to create a problem in other communities,\u201d said Robert Beau Nettleton, a county commissioner in Val Verde County, Texas. The county has been identified by Texas officials as being one of three hot spot counties for border crossings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not solving problems. We\u2019re just moving people around to different locations to make it look like there\u2019s not as many people on the border as we normally see,\u201d the commissioner told The Post. \u201cIt\u2019s a political ploy to say, \u2018Look, these communities no longer have this problem because we solved it.\u2019 You solved it for that community, but you didn\u2019t solve the problem. You just moved the problem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An internal DHS document obtained by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/immigration\/border-surge-biden-admin-plans-send-migrants-cities-deeper-us-starting-rcna32530\">NBC News<\/a> shows DHS\u2019s plan to bus immigrants to Los Angeles, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Houston, Dallas, and other cities. However, San Angelo, Texas is the first small town, without the resources to deal with immigrants, that has been named as a possible location.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re not set up to handle it. They don\u2019t have the resources to handle it, they don\u2019t have the NGOs to handle it,\u201d Nettleton said and added he predicts many immigrants will end up on the streets for a time after they\u2019re released.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not the first time politicians have turned to bussing immigrants away from the border.
