But along with that, she <em>also<\/em> wants to put\u00a0<strong>Jennifer Lopez<\/strong>\u2018s latest reveal about that past halftime show into perspective, too!<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Perezcious readers will recall how we\u2019ve been covering the recent controversy around J.Lo\u2019s new\u00a0<strong>Netflix<\/strong> project\u00a0<em>Halftime<\/em>, in which viewers learn just how frustrated the\u00a0<em>Waiting for Tonight<\/em> singer was at having to share the stage with\u00a0<strong>Shakira<\/strong> during that aforementioned halftime performance. Now, in a new interview, Estefan is letting everyone know where she stands!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: J.Lo Gives Father\u2019s Day Love To \u2018Consistent\u2019 Ben Affleck Over Baby Daddy Marc Anthony!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Latina legend went on\u00a0<em>Watch What H<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens Live<\/em> as part of Tuesday night\u2019s episode on\u00a0<strong>Bravo<\/strong>, and when host\u00a0<strong>Andy Cohen<\/strong> asked about her take on J.Lo\u2019s <em>Halftime\u00a0<\/em>halftime show reveal, Estefan didn\u2019t hold back!<\/p>\n<p>Criticizing Lopez for being so critical of the (lack of) time she and Shakira were given to perform at that world-famous and world-watched event, Gloria explained to Andy:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLook, this is the bottom line. You have very little time, like 12 minutes or something, to get things on and off the set. So, could you do it with one person? Yes, but I think they wanted to throw a Miami and Latin extravaganza and they tried to pack it as much as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Makes sense!<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Grammy Award<\/strong> winner confirmed to Cohen that she did\u00a0<em>not<\/em> want to participate in that performance \u2014 her choice!\u00a0Estefan threw a little shade J.Lo\u2019s way about that, too, joking that she would have done her thing quickly while stealing the spotlight along the way:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOK, and imagine what J.Lo would have said if I was the third [performer]! I literally would come out, done <em>Shake Your Body<\/em> [and <em>Conga<\/em>] and out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"highlight\">Ha!!<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a good line.\u00a0So why didn\u2019t Gloria participate, then?!\u00a0According to her, she didn\u2019t want to keep things trim during the holidays!! Wait, what?!<\/p>\n<p>Joking about her decision not to join J.Lo and Shakira on stage, Gloria explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt was their moment. That headliner constructs a show, and, should they choose to have other guests, that\u2019s their choice. It was an insult to say you needed two Latinas to do the job that one artist historically has done.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, well, just imagine if it had been THREE stars on stage that year, including Estefan!
