Given that this is a show that loves its fair share of dramatic twists, we had a feeling the writers had something special cooked-up here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Be sure to follow Matt and Jess TV on Instagram <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mattandjesstv\/\">HERE<\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At about five minutes left, though, we started to wonder if the story was going in a different direction. We had a few emotional scenes, some closure to the family-feud, and really a chance to reflect on a lot of what transpired throughout the season.<\/p>\n<p>Then, the writers opted to throw a HUGE wrench at us in the closing minutes as Jared Padalecki\u2019s character was kidn<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed. Who did this? It\u2019s certainly possible that it\u2019s tied to everything we\u2019ve seen in his recent investigations, or even Cassie\u2019s own past and what she is working on. Speaking to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tvline.com\/2022\/06\/23\/walker-recap-season-2-finale-episode-20-cordell-kidnapped\/\">TVLine<\/a>, here is some of what showrunner Anna Fricke had to say on the subject:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">This is something that we\u2019re obviously exploring in Season 3, and our writers\u2019 room is up and running, so we are right in the thick of discussing all of that. I will say that Cordell has gotten too close to something in his investigation, and it\u2019s possible that something unexpected from his past comes back to haunt him.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, we\u2019re excited about this cliffhanger mostly because it presents an opportunity to learn something new about Cordell that we haven\u2019t already \u2014 plus, it gives the writers a great hole to try and come out of at some point. If they really wanted to challenge themselves with a significant twist, isn\u2019t it fair to say mission accomplished?
