\n At least five people \u2014 including two teens \u2014 were shot early Friday, the latest victims of a shooting surge that has recently gripped the city, cops said.<\/p>\n

Someone fired a round at a 41-year-old man as he opened his door on Hoe Avenue near Aldus Street in the Longwood neighborhood of the Bronx just before 5 a.m., police said.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center for a gunshot wound to his leg.<\/p>\n

In Queens, a 31-year-old man was shot in the leg at Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 84th Street around 4:40 a.m., cops said.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Jamaica Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

And around 12:30 a.m., two men, aged 18 and 20, and a 19-year-old woman were shot on 230th Street near 146th Avenue in Jamaica, cops said.<\/p>\n

The younger man was taken to Mount Sinai South Nassau for a gunshot wound to his leg, and the older victim, who was struck in his torso and leg, went to Jamaica Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

The female victim walked into the same hospital for a graze wound to her back.<\/p>\n

All three suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the city saw a total of six shootings with six victims, according to a preliminary figure released by the NYPD.<\/p>\n

On that day in 2019, which was a Tuesday, there were four incidents with four victims, authorities said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
