Still, the token traded 77.35% lower than its record high of $12.24, set on May 30.<\/p>\n<p>LUNA2&#8217;s recovery mirrored similar retracement moves elsewhere in the crypto industry with top crypto assets Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) rising by <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roximately 25% and 45% in the same period.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-06\/0577258c-a8d2-4259-9696-afa607adbd3c.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>LUNA2\/USD four-hour price chart versus BTC\/USD. Source: TradingView<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"LUNA2_price_rally_could_trap_bulls\"><\/span>LUNA2 price rally could trap bulls<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The recent bout of buying in the LUNA2 market could trap bulls, given it has come as a part of a broader correction trend.<\/p>\n<p>In detail, LUNA2 appears to be forming a &#8220;bear flag&#8221; pattern, a bearish continuation setup that appears as the price consolidates upward inside a parallel ascending channel after undergoing a large move downside.<\/p>\n<p>Bear Flags resolve after the price breaks below the channel&#8217;s lower trendline. As a rule of technical analysis, their breakdown takes the price to the level at a length equal to the size of the previous downside move (called &#8220;flagpole&#8221;), as shown in the chart below.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-06\/17d7cf3a-b7c0-4cdb-9784-82d59a0e2438.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>LUNA2\/USD daily price chart featuring &#8216;bull flag&#8217; setup. Source: TradingView<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>LUNA2, now trading near its Bear Flag&#8217;s upper trendline (~$2.40), could undergo an imminent pullback toward the pattern&#8217;s lower trendline near $2.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If accompanied by an increase in volume, an extended price correction would put LUNA2 at risk of crashing to $1.30, down almost 50% from June 2&#8217;s price. <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"LUNA2_is_risky\"><\/span>LUNA2 is risky<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>LUNA&#8217;s depressive technical outlook also takes cues from its controversial history.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, LUNA2 came to existence in late May as a means to compensate investors who had suffered losses during the collapse of Terra&#8217;s algorithmic stablecoin, now called TerraClassic USD (USTC).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the almost-worthless old version of LUNA2, named LUNA, started trading as an independent token under the revamped brand called &#8220;Terra Classic (LUNAC).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>LUNA2 opened across major exchanges with a 483% spike to $12.24, only to give up all the gains in a massive correction move later. Mati Greenspan, the\u00a0founder of crypto research firm Quantum Economics, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/do-kwons-crypto-empire-fell-in-a-40-billion-crash-hes-got-a-new-coin-for-you-11655914487?mod=Searchresults_pos1&amp;page=1\">noted<\/a> that nobody in their right mind would want to invest in LUNA2 after the LUNAC collapse.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-06\/ab572d6c-378c-413f-8bc6-8bd910cf02fd.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>LUNA\/USD daily price chart.
