According to <em>Rolling Stone,\u00a0<\/em>Holder was seriously injured around 4 p.m. after he left the Los Angeles courtroom where he\u2019s currently standing trial for the 2019 murder.<\/p>\n<p>Now, <em>TMZ<\/em> reports Holder\u2019s injuries were so severe he needed three staples in the back of his head.\u00a0Holder\u2019s attorney confirmed he was attacked by two people while in his holding cell, cut by what is believed to have been a razor. Holder allegedly lost consciousness during the attack and was obviously too hurt to attend trial.<\/p>\n<p>At one point, Holder was observed with\u00a0stitches running up the back of his head, a slightly swollen left eye and additional stitches cutting their way through his hair.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Trial begins for Eric Holder, man accused of fatally shooting Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cAanBTsZGiA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Holder stands accused of killing Nipsey Hussle in March 2019. During the initial hearing earlier this month, Deputy District Attorney John McKinney alleged\u00a0Holder gunned down Nipsey\u00a0in the parking lot of The Marathon Clothing store, walked over to his bullet-riddled body and kicked him in the head.<\/p>\n<p>McKinney then told the jurors\u00a0Holder said to Nipsey, \u201cYou\u2019re through,\u201d to which Nip replied, \u201cYou got me.\u201d He later revealed\u00a0a bullet had actually \u201ctransected\u201d Nipsey\u2019s spine, meaning even if he had survived, he would\u2019ve been paralyzed for the rest of his life. Nipsey was 33 years old at the time of his death.<\/p>\n<p>Holder pleaded not guilty\u00a0to one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of felony possession of a firearm in connection with the fatal shooting.
