So the first thing I did when I received these was put them in my ears.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, these earbuds were pretty comfortable. Could I feel them? Yes, absolutely. After all, the oval silicone tips are supposed to result in a snug fit for the best sound and noise canceling.<\/p>\n<p>However, did these earbuds hurt? No. I didn\u2019t have any trouble wearing them for a couple of hours at a time. Now, would I want to wear them for my entire work day? No, but that goes for any set of earbuds out there.<\/p>\n<p>For the best fit, these earbuds come with three different sizes of ear tips, including small, medium, and large. They weren\u2019t too heavy, weighing just 4.8g (1.71oz) per piece. The charging case is relatively small and fits great in the zipper pocket of my everyday bag. It also fits in the front and back pocket of my jeans.<\/p>\n<p>When comparing charging cases, I found that the\u00a0JBL Live Pro 2 TWS\u2019 case is a bit taller than my Apple AirPods\u2019 (1st generation), but they\u2019re pretty similar otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>Another key feature to mention is the water resistance. These JBL earbuds are <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/209024\/htg-explains-how-water-resistance-ratings-work-for-gadgets\/\">IPX5 certified<\/a>, meaning they\u2019re resistant to rain and sweat (or the rogue splash from the sink).<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sound_Crisp_Clear_Full_of_Bass\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_2\">Sound: Crisp, Clear, &amp; Full of Bass<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"greybox_callout\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Drivers:<\/strong> 11mm (0.43in) Dynamic<\/li>\n<li><strong>Frequency range:<\/strong> 20Hz-20kHz<\/li>\n<li><strong>Impedance:<\/strong> 16 ohm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bluetooth version:<\/strong> 5.2<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ear tips:<\/strong> Silicon, Three sizes (small, medium, and large)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Battery life:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to 10 hours of playback for earbuds, 30 hours of battery for case<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>As a musician and all-around music fiend, I was thrilled with the sound quality of these JBL earbuds. With 11mm drivers, the sound was crisp, clear, and full of bass, just the way I like it. And that was before I got ahold of the EQ settings inside the mobile app (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"#moka_anchor_app\">more on this below<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the bass doesn\u2019t muddy the mids and highs. In fact, these earbuds provide a great mix. And trust me, I tried everything from bluegrass to alternative rock. JBL\u2019s Oval Tubes provide an immersive listening experience, no matter the genre.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Noise_Canceling_Automatic\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_3\">Noise Canceling: Automatic<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Have you ever tried listening to your favorite Spotify playlist while your six-year-old plays Fortnite with gusto in the background? I have. And let me tell you, JBL\u2019s adaptive noise canceling feature saved my sanity.<\/p>\n<p>All jokes aside, the intuitive and automatic noise canceling (ANC) is fantastic. It adjusts to your surroundings without you ever having to lift a finger. Plus, the Ambient Aware feature allows you to hear what\u2019s going on around you without ever removing your earbuds.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to have more control over the noise canceling or ambient settings, you can choose to turn off the automatic setting and manually change the levels inside of the mobile app.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Charging_10_Hours_of_Playback\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_4\">Charging: 10 Hours of Playback<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"greybox_callout\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Charge options: <\/strong>Wired or Qi-enabled wireless charging<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cable type: <\/strong>USB-A to USB-C<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cable length: <\/strong>10.5in (25.4cm)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Music playback time with BT on and ANC off:<\/strong> Up to 10 hours<\/li>\n<li><strong>Music playback time with BT and ANC on:<\/strong> Up to 8 hours<\/li>\n<li><strong>Music playback time with BT on and True Adaptive ANC on:<\/strong> Up to 6 hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>The JBL Live Pro 2 TWS earbuds can be charged wirelessly using any <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/780240\/best-wireless-charger\/\">Qi-enabled wireless charger<\/a>. Or, you can use the USB-A to USB-C charging cable that comes with them.\u00a0I did think the cable was a bit short at only 10.5in (25.4cm). But, that\u2019s nothing a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Anker-2-Pack-Premium-Charging-Samsung\/dp\/B07DC5PPFV\/?tag=reviewgeekreviews-20\">replacement cable<\/a> can\u2019t solve.<\/p>\n<p>Once charged, these earbuds last up to 10 hours. Yes, 10 hours, which is a great amount for wireless earbuds. For example, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Apple-MLWK3AM-A-AirPods-Pro\/dp\/B09JQMJHXY\/?tag=reviewgeekreviews-20\">Apple\u2019s AirPods Pro<\/a> features <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT207012\">less than\u00a0half the battery life<\/a> at four and a half hours of playback.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the JBL\u2019s playback time will decrease if you use the ANC and Bluetooth often (for example, the music playback time with Bluetooth and True Adaptive ANC on is up to six hours). Even still, at the earbuds\u2019 lowest battery life expectancy, they still last longer than some of our choices for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/772140\/best-wireless-earbuds\">the best wireless earbuds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The charging case, which holds 30 hours of charge, will power up your earbuds up to three times.\u00a0Need your earbuds charged fast? These little guys come with a Speed Charge feature which will give your earbuds up to 4 hours of playtime in just 15 minutes. This is great for when you realize you forgot to charge your earbuds a half hour before your next meeting (don\u2019t ask me how I know).<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Calling_Zero_Noise\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_5\">Calling: Zero Noise<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"greybox_callout\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Number of microphones:<\/strong> 6<\/li>\n<li><strong>Microphone sensitivity:<\/strong>\u00a0-38dBV\/Pa@1kHz<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>I spend a lot of time on my phone and in Zoom each day. So when I noticed these earbuds had six beamforming microphones, I had to test them out on a few calls.<\/p>\n<p>The sound was clear and the ANC kept out unnecessary sounds such as wiener dog barks and the TV. Plus, the mic allowed my speech to come through clearly and I didn\u2019t annoy the other caller with my background noise.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mobile_App_Simple_Useful\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_6\"><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"moka_anchor_app\">Mobile App: Simple &amp; Useful<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of my favorite features is the JBL mobile app (available for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/jbl-headphones\/id1053136947?at=1010l392g\">iPhone<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=jbl.stc.com&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\">Android<\/a>). It\u2019s easy to use and has several tools to fully customize your experience.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the EQ settings. Sound is a personal thing and this feature allows you to change up the EQ to fit your listening style. You can also choose from a few presets, including Bass, Jazz, and Studio. Can you guess which was my favorite?<\/p>\n<p>You can also try out the \u201cCheck My Best Fit\u201d tool. Once your earbuds are in your ears, this tool will check to make sure you\u2019re wearing them correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Other features inside the mobile app include a \u201cFind My Buds\u201d tool, the ability to turn the automatic noise canceling on or off, and the customization options to change the earbud gestures.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gestures_Added_Features\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_7\">Gestures &amp; Added Features<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Just like with any quality set of earbuds, the JBL Live Pro 2 TWS buds feature one-tap, two-tap, and tap-and-hold gestures.
