With the help of their fellow Detroit native Proof, the two formed Bad Meets Evil and delivered the platinum-selling EP <em>Hell: The Sequel<\/em> in 2011. While the duo may not be currently active, it doesn\u2019t mean they aren\u2019t still making music together.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, the two linked for the single \u201cCaterpillar\u201d off Nickel Nine\u2019s seventh studio album <em>Book of Ryan.\u00a0<\/em>Late last month, Royce partnered with music royalty marketplace Royal to allow fans to own a piece of the song, which sold out in 30 minutes. On Tuesday (July 5), Eminem fired off a tweet in honor of Royce\u2019s 45th birthday and included Royal\u2019s tweet about the opportunity to invest in \u201cCaterpillar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He wrote in the caption, \u201cH<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y bday @royceda59! I seen him do it and it was exciting just as a fan.\u00a0Like when I seen him do that, that was one of the first fan moments that I had in a very long time. I just thought, \u2018Wow.\u2019 He did it with one of his last albums. He\u2019s leading away, because normally, these types of activations are done by record labels and companies that buy up everybody\u2019s masters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s normally done by those types of companies. So when you see it done by an actual artist with their own music and having a free rein to play ball with their own music, however, I just think it sets a very positive tone for the creators.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nas announced his\u00a0Royal partnership\u00a0in January with the songs \u201cUltra Black\u201d and \u201cRare\u201d from 2020\u2019s<em>\u00a0King\u2019s Disease\u00a0<\/em>and its 2021 sequel.\u00a0With prolific Hip Hop artists such as Nas blazing the trail, Royce is hoping even more will follow suit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you have the right situation, if you can still control the master, you can still play ball with labels,\u201d he said. \u201cThey still have a place. They can participate in stuff, too, but they don\u2019t have to own everything. And that\u2019s the thing that I want the youngins to realize. They don\u2019t have to own everything, but if it\u2019s moving properly, there\u2019s a space for them to be in. There\u2019s a degree in which you can be embed with them where they\u2019re still happy.
