The new network acquired while studying for an MBA could help students land a desired job, break into an emerging industry or find a new mentor. Plus, alumni networks offer a connection to business professionals past, present and future.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_opportunities_and_community_engagement\"><\/span>New opportunities and community engagement<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Regret not joining that student club during undergrad or not going on a semester abroad? An MBA provides the chance for experiences missed during a bachelor\u2019s degree. \u201cOpportunities will vary from school to school,\u201d explains Teresa Pires, associate director of recruitment and admissions for Smith\u2019s full-time MBA program at Queen\u2019s University. \u201cWithin the Smith MBA, you can strengthen your leadership capabilities within a student executive role, pursue a double degree in areas such as finance, health-care management and digital business. If you are interested in going abroad to gain international exposure, you can participate in an exchange program.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gain_relevant_skills\"><\/span>Gain relevant skills<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The skills that are considered relevant today are constantly changing. While earning an MBA, students acquire knowledge and learn ways of thinking that consider the latest technologies and market conditions, with an eye on the future of business. \u201cBy gaining first hand experience, MBA graduates develop skills that are im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>licable to employers today,\u201d explains Farid Noordin, manager of strategic recruitment and enrolment at Alberta\u2019s Athabasca University. \u201cMBA courses require students to perform research, gather data and frame problems within a larger, real-world context. Lessons often centre around the students\u2019 current work experiences, which means participants connect theory into practice.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Flexibility_in_virtual_learning\"><\/span>Flexibility in virtual learning<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Several universities offer MBA programs virtually, lending greater flexibility to learners. \u201cThe MBA for executives at Athabasca University is asynchronous, which means students don\u2019t need to log on for a specific date or time,\u201d says Noordin. \u201cInstead, they work at their own pace.
