Something that is easy to draw or impactful to see on paper doesn&#8217;t always translate. I&#8217;m not sure how the little thong would even stay on if you attempted to do a costume like that in an actual movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/christian-bale-gorr-the-god-butcher-influences-thor-love-and-thunder\/\">Total Film<\/a>, Bale discussed learning about his Marvel character for the first time. He got the gist of what Gorr does from the name, but then he Googled his character. He said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n&#8220;[In the comics] he runs around in a G-string all the time. And I thought, &#8216;They don&#8217;t have the right man for that!&#8217; And then Taika quickly dispelled any notions of running around in that. But I always did think what he could do with this in front of a bluescreen \u2013 he could chuck on whatever he wants later on.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s maybe best that director Taika Waititi chose not to do a comics-accurate costume for Gorr. Not that Bale couldn&#8217;t have pulled it off, but he&#8217;s creepy enough in those robes. The thong would have been a bit much for a family friendly film. Honestly, impactful as the design is, it&#8217;s not the kind of thing you want to see\u00a0<em>any\u00a0<\/em>actor wearing in live-action.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thor: Love and Thunder&#8221; is in theaters now.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
