And though \u201crecent Russian successes\u201d are \u201ctempting policy analysts and political leaders\u201d into \u201cexaggerated gloom,\u201d such \u201cmood swings should not affect U.S. foreign policy.\u201d We can help Ukraine \u201cneutralize Russia\u2019s advantage in long-range artillery\u201d and send \u201cadvanced drones to bolster its intelligence gathering\u201d \u2014 as well as \u201cthe estimated $5 billion a month [Volodymyr Zelensky\u2019s] government will need to maintain basic services during the economic collapse the invasion has created.\u201d \u201cBiden must end his cautious <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach . . . and give Mr. Zelensky the means to mount an effective counteroffensive this fall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Economy watch: An \u2018Internet-Speed\u2019 Recession<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe term \u2018internet speed\u2019 normally refers to the quickening of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> cycle,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/prospect.org\/economy\/recession-at-internet-speed\/\">argues David Dayen at The American Prospect<\/a>, but \u201cwe now appear to be seeing how that acceleration can also apply to economic cycles.\u201d Federal Reserve Chairman \u201cJerome Powell said he was more concerned about stopping inflation than preventing a recession,\u201d but \u201ca number of indicators in the past couple of weeks show inflation actually softening or reversing,\u201d like oil and commodity prices. \u201cThe only plausible explanation for this fledgling turnabout is the pricing in of recession.\u201d Yet \u201cit\u2019s hard to square a full-on deceleration with such a strong job market,\u201d which suggests \u201cconstant talk about recession can help fuel recession in our internet-speed world\u201d \u2014 a fact that \u201cshould change the approach toward the economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education beat: CUNY\u2019s Antisemitic Turn<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf 80 percent of success is showing up, as is sometimes said, then the chancellor of the City University of New York, F\u00e9lix Matos Rodr\u00edguez, has earned in respect of antisemitism a failing grade,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nysun.com\/article\/cowardice-at-cuny\">lambasts The New York Sun\u2019s Editorial Board<\/a>. Rodr\u00edguez \u201cfailed to show for a daylong [City Council] hearing on antisemitism at his institution.\u201d But he\u2019s just the tip of the iceberg. At CUNY\u2019s law school, the faculty unanimously OK\u2019d a BDS resolution, and its commencement speaker argued \u201cabolishing Israel is the key to peace.\u201d Whatever happened to enforcing Executive Order 157, which \u201cdirects State entities \u2018to divest all public funds supporting the Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel\u2019\u200a\u201d?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Foreign desk: Brexit Is Bigger Than Boris<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor all the horrors of recent times,\u201d Boris Johnson\u2019s \u201ctenure will remain a landmark moment in the struggle for British democracy\u201d for \u201creminding the elites who ultimately rules,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spiked-online.com\/2022\/07\/07\/long-live-populism\/\">posits Spiked\u2019s Tom Slater<\/a>. And though \u201ca <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> sent mad by Brexit\u201d failed again and again to \u201cbring the government down,\u201d \u201cvoters want their wishes enacted and their interests defended.\u201d So when \u201cJohnson\u2019s government came to resemble so many that came before it,\u201d a fall was inevitable. But \u201cthe principles Brexit represented\u201d were \u201calways bigger than Boris Johnson.\u201d He \u201cmay be gone, but the British people still rule. It\u2019s now the job of any democrat to make sure that those spurned elites, those desperate to see the post-2016 era die with Johnson\u2019s premiership, are proven wrong once again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conservative: Stop Feds From Running Elections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernors and other state officials don\u2019t have to stand idly by as the Biden administration plots a federal takeover of elections,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/07\/good-government-groups-ask-state-officials-to-stop-bidens-federal-takeover-of-elections\/\">points out Mollie Hemingway at The Federalist<\/a>. In March, Biden directed \u201call 600 federal agencies\u201d to send in plans \u201cto increase voter registration and turnout.
