However, a concurrent fall in graphic cards or GPU prices is set to help miners offset their operational costs amid an ongoing bear market.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin mining revenue fell 79.6% over a period of 9 months, ever since reaching an all-time high of $74.4 million on Oct. 25, 2021. In addition, a global chip shortage and the coronavirus pandemic shot up prices of the most important part of a mining rig \u2014 the graphics processing unit (GPU) \u2014 further impacting the miners\u2019 bottom line.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-07\/a3ac1343-d528-400d-805a-825f90418341.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Bitcoin mining revenue over the past year. Source: Blockchain.com<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With card manufacturers resuming operations across the world, GPU prices have seen a massive decline with some cards <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techspot.com\/article\/2486-gpu-pricing-update\/\">selling<\/a> for below MSRPs. In May alone, GPU prices <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tomshardware.com\/news\/graphics-card-prices-dropped-15-percent-in-may-2022\">dropped<\/a> over 15% on average as supply exceeded the market demand. Moreover, the recent influx in GPUs has forced sellers on the secondary markets to bring down their exorbitant prices on used mining rigs.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-07\/95534bc8-48ab-45cb-bedc-daecc9476230.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>GPU price trend over the past one year. Source: TechSpot<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cointelegraph previously reported that several public Bitcoin miners are well-positioned to survive the prolonged bear market as the low revenue continues to sustain the operational costs of the mining facilities. As shown below, Argo, CleanSpark, Stronghold, Marathon and Roit are some of the miners with a stable mining revenue to operational cost ratio \u2014 a fair indication of good health.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-07\/783059b1-5568-48f6-9f02-fe9b244dda52.jpg\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Monthly operating cash flow vs. mining revenue.
