The telescope is now stationed about\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/earth-space\/james-webb-space-telescope-arrives-home-in-space\"><u>1 million miles from Earth<\/u><\/a>\u00a0and, after commissioning, is ready to begin <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a> observations decades in the making.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>NASA, the European Space Agency and Canadian Space Agency plan to release the first full-color images and spectroscopic data from the James Webb Space Telescope on Tuesday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m. ET. Still, even though the star was a hundred times fainter than the light a human eye could see, it was blindingly bright to Webb and a testament to the telescope\u2019s sensitivity.<\/p>\n<p>Then in May, the Webb science team\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/earth-space\/james-webb-space-telescope-nearly-ready-to-transform-our-view-of-the-universe\">shared an image of the Large Magellanic Cloud<\/a>, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, used to test the telescope\u2019s Mid-Infrared Instrument or MIRI. According to the space agency, the objects were chosen by an international committee with representatives from NASA, ESA, CSA and the Space Telescope Science Institute.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first color images by James Webb Space Telescope include the largest and brightest nebulae in the universe, the Carina Nebula, located 7,600 light-years away, and WASP-96 b, a gas exoplanet about 1,150 light-years away from Earth. The Southern Ring Nebula, an expanding cloud of gas surrounding a dying star, will also be featured in JWST\u2019s first data release. Finally, the compact galaxy group Stephan\u2019s Quintet, located in the Pegasus constellation, and a galaxy cluster known as SMACX 0723 will test the observatory\u2019s deep field view capabilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/telescope-02.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"NASA\u2019s James Webb Space Telescope sits in front of the door to Chamber A, a giant thermal vacuum chamber located at NASA\u2019s Johnson Space Center. Its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope, continues to operate after more than 30 years in orbit about 300 miles above Earth. NASA astronauts conducted several spacewalks to repair a flaw in Hubble\u2019s primary mirror after the first images came back blurry.<\/p>\n<p>The James Webb Space Telescope observatory is about 1 million miles from Earth, meaning a repair mission would be out of the question.
